I decided to use my place image taken for last class and imprint that on my image of falling paper. I tried to map the contours of the crumpled paper onto the the static image. movement blur was hard but attempted.

Second I thought it would be cool to put a lion in central park. Shadow effects made the lion look more present in the environment.


Third I put an image of a crew team rowing through the clouds. A reference to the sensation  of flying achieved by rowing fast.

I scraped my old idea entirely. The change of direction is less dark than my original idea. My first cut was about 5 minutes long and included a lot of cereal eating. I cut this down significantly. The final cut is more of a trailer than the full idea. It centers on a concert going experience.

The following are sketches of the original concept for my midterm project. The idea comes from a recent depressive episode, I was listening to albums trying to exorcise the depression an one of the albums was a short 7 songs, and they resonated with me in the moment. I was sparked with creativity and created these sketches. My final midterm is based on these conceptual drawings.
